Discover Your Voice Improvisation Workshop with Natasha Mirny

Discover your voice, use it to connect to your body and let your body think for you, free you of thoughts, show you your authentic body language, and your ability to create choreography.
This workshop is for people with any movement experience.
Through simple dance exercises and theater techniques you will:
- awaken your physical awareness of sounds and their impact on your body
- create your own dance
- explore the ways to experience your emotions through movement and become a more active agent in your life
Natasha Mirny is a stage director, choreographer, performer, and founder of Happy Theater (www.happytheater.com). Her background is in dance, pantomime, puppetry, and physical theater. She started her career as a stage director of one of the largest puppet theaters in Moscow, Russia. She has been running her own small theatrical company that produces shows for kids and adults for the last 3 years. She has also been developing her own movement technique since 2011 and has taught it to professional choreographers and actors in Russia and USA. She is currently working as a faculty member at several theaters in DC metro area such as Wolf Trap Performing Arts Center, Imagination Stage Theater, TheatreLab and Synetic Theater.
