Goodbye Green Street

It’s hard to overstate just how much growth, support, ideating, experimentation, creating, not to mention fighting tooth n nail for our community has happened in these three (four? five? six?) rooms. The closure of Green Street Studios is a shocking loss for the entirety of the Boston dance community, in that it’s a saddening loss that hits deep.
Studio at 550 has graciously offered to hold space for the Boston dance community to grieve together. We’ll meet outside of GSS at 12pm on Monday, Oct 14, and then migrate to Studio at 550 together to eat some food, reminisce, and maybe dance some.
There is no single point, or product, or attempt to fix a problem in this gathering. It’s also decidedly not apathetic, jaded, or still. It’s a dance. It’s a potluck. It’s a fire and a can of beans. It’s a wake.
