Because of YOU we can offer affordable rehearsal rates to artists?
Although current market rate at local dance centers are about the same, real estate prices are not subsidized. We are dedicated to providing afforbable rates for artists so they can create work that is more sustainable and afffordable.

We have a staff of ONE
Callie Chapman, Director has been working both as an artist and an arts administrator for over 15 years. Bringing her experience and vision to founding Studio at 550, Callie is excited to spearhead many more years of progress, growth, and connection within and between the artist communities. Currently she is working almost at a volunteer rate. For the Studio to grow into a more sustainable model, we are currently raising funds to help subsidize staff.
We are working on BUILDING:
– An artist advisory board
– Paid staff
– More artist centric programs
(such as the Lab Series)
